Moderate Hike @ Latta Nature Preserve
Details
This is an easy-to-moderate hike. We will be taking a combination of trails, starting with Shady Trail, totaling around 5 miles and taking about 3 1/2 hours to allow time for pictures and breaks. These trails are very easy to navigate with a few small hills.
We'll be alternating between the woods and scenic views of Mountain Island Lake. This hike is all about relaxing and just enjoying the outdoors.
The posted address is for the Quest at Latta Nature Preserve which includes restrooms. So, consider making a pit stop before continuing about 1/2 mile further to the parking lot on the right for SHADY TRAIL. Coordinates for the parking lot are 35.352130, -80.915827.
