The Cascades route has an easy surface, mostly consisting of gravel and stone stairs, with just a slight challenge on the way to the lower viewpoint. About one mile. This trail is perfect for a quick hike and offers a reward at the turnaround point. Additionally, there are educational plaques that inform visitors about the surrounding flora and fauna. We could add some milage on the Mountains to Sea Trail if anyone wants to do an out & back.
Bring plenty of water & snacks.
