Sunset plein air

Let’s play with plein air (painting outside) at sunset! A member has been kind enough to offer her beautiful farmhouse and peaceful property for this meetup. As such, there is a small $5 fee (will be collected onsite) for this event to show our appreciation to the host 💖

Location details:
There will be cold water available to drink, but if you’d like a different non-alcoholic beverage, please bring it. The owner says there haven’t been mosquitoes but there may be flies so please bring bug repellent if you need it. I will bring a natural lavender spray to share. Also, if you prefer to sit in a chair when outside, please bring one — there are chairs inside if you’d rather do that instead 🫶🏽. There are several gorgeous places with different views to sit and paint outside, as well as inside.

Accessibility:
This place is somewhat handicap accessible — there are two low steps to get into the house and a slightly raised transition to get into the bathroom. There is a very nice NomNom gas station with bathrooms just 5 minutes down the road if the stairs are an issue. There are plenty of flat areas outside that are easily accessible as well for painting, though it is a mostly gravel, brick pathway and grass situation — there is a concrete slab near the parking area that would be the easiest to get to without needing to roll anywhere 💜

Note: the house is just down the road from the location I put on the map — the exact address will be sent the night before only to those who RSVP.

As always, proposed focus will be creating in a state of joy rather than making a finished or perfect project. Older kiddos who can create peacefully by themselves are welcome — my 13 yr old daughter and 11 yr old niece may be there 🥰

This is a casual meetup of friendly creatives, not a class. Come when you can for however long you can. All kinds of artists of all skill levels are welcome. I have extra art supplies if anyone needs them — just ask in the comments 💕
