Kayak from Mokuleia to Yokohama Bay....Around Kaena Point!!!! 7.4 Miles

Details
For safety reasons, PFDs (personal flotation devices), also known as lifejackets, will be required on this trip. Proper ocean-going kayaks and skills are required on this trip. If you have not paddled with us before, you may call Bob to discuss.
Aloha Paddlers!!
Time for our epic KAENA POINT paddle! We may be able to beach ½-way at Kaena Pt (NOT a drop off/pick up point) and may see Monk Seals and Iwa Birds (Albatross) that are nesting in the sanctuary there.
The Grand Plan:
This outing has the longest shuttle drive of the entire island so we’ll be meeting at 7:00 AM PLEASE BE ON TIME!! at the beach just after Dillingham Air Field (1.5 miles past Mokuleia Beach Park near end of Farrington Hwy) - which is around 4 miles from Kaena Pt. We should have tailwinds for the first ½ of trip.
We'll unload boats here, then we will shuttle our vehicles from here to Yokohama Beach Park on the Waianae side of Kaena Point.
IMPORTANT POINT !!!! If anyone has a friend, partner, Husband, or Wife who would like to make some extra money being our shuttle driver, and they can bring their car, or better yet, Van or SUV that morning, they can be our shuttle driver and make between $120.00 and $240.00, depending on how many are doing the paddle that they can fit into their vehicle.
After we drop our kayaks off at the beach near Dillingham Airfield, and then drive to Yokohama Beach to leave our cars there, where we'll be landing at the end.
Our shuttle driver can then drive their vehicle full of paddlers from Yokohama Beach Park, back to Dillingham beach where we dropped off our kayaks so we can start our paddle from there. Each person they give a ride to will give the shuttle Driver $30.00 to cover gas and shuttle fee.
We’ll then launch from the beach near Dillingham, and proceed toward Kaena Point.
After our ½ way stop (hopefully,...... depending on surf ) at Kaena Pt, it’s another 3 miles to Yokohama Beach and the cars. A pleasant paddle if conditions are good. Bring drinks and an easy snack and have them accessible to eat on the boat, in case we don’t get to stop at Kaena Pt. due to surf.
We'll then proceed on to our Finish at Yokohama Bay Beach Park.
