Kayak from Yokohama Bay Beach Park to Makaha Beach 5.8 Miles

Details
Yokohama Bay Beach Park to Makaha Beach 5.8 Miles.
PFDs (personal flotation devices), also known as lifejackets, will be required on this trip, as well as proper ocean-going kayaks.
Aloha Paddlers!!
This time we’ll be paddling from Yokohama Beach Park to Makaha Beach Park which is only a 6 mile paddle, so, depending on weather and surf conditions, might be a suitable paddle for beginners to join in on.
The paddle should take about 2 to 2 ½ hours(depending on the wind), which will leave as much time as we want for surfing the breaks along the way or at Makaha when we come in, so bring your best surfing/paddling kayak and we’ll have some fun at the end of the paddle!----provided the surf zone isn’t too crowded if there are waves.
So, here’s the plan – we’ll be meeting at Yokohama Beach Park at 8:00 AM, the shuttle drivers will leave at 8:20 and we’ll start the paddle around 9:00 AM. That should put us into MAKAHA at around 11:30 and we’ll play in the waves till we get tired of it, conditions permitting.
It should be a fun paddle, depending on the wind, so I’ll look forward to seeing you all there!
