About us

About This Group

A community of value-driven gay men (approximately 30–50) deeply drawn to sustainability, foraging, farming, and homesteading — and intentionally seeking a more grounded, authentic way of living and connecting. We prioritize genuine friendship over fast-paced socializing, shared values over status, hands-on learning, time outdoors, and steady, meaningful connections. This is a space for men who want to be present, build real skills, and explore what a land-based, intentional future could look like.

This group is not a hookup space, a dating pool, a nightlife extension, or a professional networking circle. Events are not designed for flirting, cruising, or evaluating one another as potential partners. If you are primarily looking for dates or physical intimacy, this will not be the right fit.

What We’ll Do

Planned activities may include group hikes in local parks, seasonal foraging walks, visiting farms or volunteering together, skill-share evenings (food preservation, sourdough, composting, tool basics, etc.), and conversations about sustainable living and future plans.

Some events will be outdoors and active. Others will be small group discussions over coffee or shared meals.

Culture & Expectations

  1. Open communication — speaking honestly and kindly, expressing needs directly, addressing misunderstandings with curiousity, and being willing to both give and receive feedback
  2. Respectful behavior at all times — including active listening, no belittling, and honoring personal boundaries
  3. Inclusive of men from diverse backgrounds — welcoming men of different races, body types, incomes, political perspectives, and life circumstances, provided they share the group’s core values of respect and sustainability

This is a space grounded in friendship and shared experience. If, over time, a deeper relationship develops from mutual values and consistent connection, that is respected and welcome — but the purpose of this group is not courtship.

Founder’s Note

I’m starting this group because I’ve been searching for this kind of space myself, and, if I’m honest, haven’t found. After spending time within dominant gay social culture — where nightlife, hookups, and image often take center stage — I came to recognize how out of place I felt. I found myself deeply longing for something steadier and more rooted: honest conversation, shared work, time outdoors, and connection that is built patiently rather than sparked in an instant.

Sustainability and land-based living matter to me, but so does building relationships that feel authentic and unhurried. I don’t have this all figured out — I’m simply hoping to bring together men who feel that same pull toward a more intentional way of living and relating.

For those of you who have been feeling this too, I’d be glad to meet you.
