Foraging Friends, Roanoke meets in person once or twice a month to forage edible, medicinal, and otherwise useful plants in the wild. Since the group's creation, we've found lions mane mushrooms, paw paw fruit, apples, garlic mustard, wild carrots, etc- over 50 wild edible plants and mushrooms have been identified over the course of these events. There is always something new to learn, and new people to meet.
We are slowing down a bit for the Winter, but I will prepare a couple of basket weaving classes so the community has something to do during the season of depression- stay tuned.

Free Basket Weaving Class!
28 E Main Street, 28 E Main Street, Salem VA 24153, Salem, VA, USTo mark the migration of our group from Meetup.com to OutsideSocial.net, we will be hosting a free basket weaving class on December 20th. We have enough basket material for up to 40 people, so everyone can each weave their own. This is an indoor event, but the exact venue is TBA.

We are migrating away from Meetup due to their predatory pricing. (They are going to automatically delete the group in 30 days, without letting us go back to a free tier group, unless someone who is willing to pay $40/month will take ownership of it.
