Mount Nemo Loop: Escarpment Views & Autumn Serenity

Mount Nemo is one of the true gems of the Niagara Escarpment. It offers some of the most breathtaking views in the region, especially as we enter the crisp, early days of October. The trail weaves through a lush, mature forest before opening up to dramatic cliff-edge vistas where you can see for miles across the Burlington and Milton landscape. There is something truly magical about standing on the edge of the escarpment as the leaves begin to turn, and it’s the perfect way to disconnect and recharge for the week ahead.

We will be meeting at the neighbourhood parking spot and making our way to the trailhead. Since this is a longer hike, we will keep a steady, moderate pace to cover the distance comfortably while still taking in the scenery.

Important Logistics & Parking:
Please park your car in the neighbourhood at 4201 Sideroad 2, Burlington, ON L7M 0S7. Parking here is free. I will also drop a pin in the Meetup announcement for easy navigation.

What to Bring:
This is a 12 km hike that will take roughly 4 hours. Please come prepared with:

· Plenty of water (at least 1-2 litres)
· Snacks or a light lunch to keep your energy up
· Proper hiking footwear (the terrain can be rocky and uneven)
· Appropriate clothing for the weather (layers are best for October)

Pace: Moderate (approx. 4 km/h)
Duration: Approximately 4 hours
