We will discuss The Country Girls by Edna O'Brien on Wed., March 25 at 7 p.m. at The Cottage Bar & Restaurant (formerly called Irish Cottage), 108-07 72nd Ave. in Forest Hills. It's on the south side of Queens Blvd., two blocks east and then one block south of the 71st Ave. stop on the E/F/M/R trains. You can see the menu at https://www.cottagenyc.com/menu.

Note: the title of Edna O'Brien's autobiography is The Country Girl (singular); make sure you get the novel instead.

The most widely available edition is The Country Girls: Three Novels and an Epilogue. (We will only discuss the first novel.) There is only one print copy at Queens Library, but 30 copies at NYPL.
