What we’re about
A Course In Miracles (ACIM) is a non-religious, spiritual self-study program to help people achieve inner peace by shifting their perceptions of the world we see.
In a nutshell, ACIM is a mystical training of the mind to transform our perceptions of the outside world to achieve peace of mind.
During class we take turns reading and discussing different sections from the book A Course In Miracles (ACIM.) Everyone gets a chance to read and participate. Please make sure to sign up to attend those classes you would like to attend.
Important: If you are not familiar with A Course in Miracles, it is recommended that before you join this group, you read at least a couple of chapters from this book to make sure the teachings align with your current beliefs. You can read a free e-book version at acim.org.
We meet on-line every Tuesday at 6:00pm Central time, 7:00pm Eastern time, 5:00pm Mountain time, 4:00pm Pacific time. The meetings last 1 hour and 30 minutes.
If you are new to this group, it is important that you have a picture of you in your Meetup profile so that we can place a face to the name. We have this requirement to deter "zoom bombers" (pranksters) from joining the group and disrupt the meetings.
Important rules:
1- If no picture of you in your profile, you will be removed from the group.
2- On your first meeting, you need to sign in at least 5 minutes before the meeting starts, so that we can learn a little about you before the meeting starts.
After all that negative energy with the "important rules", if you still feel guided or inspired to join this group. We'd love to have you as a member. Maybe this group will resonate with you, or maybe not. Only one way to find out.
