Damn Good Pattern Libraries - Alex Lande

Pattern libraries are a great tool for building sustainable design systems on the web. At their most basic, they are catalogs of reusable components, but they can be so much more. Let's look at some ways to push pattern libraries to the next level, turning them into design tools, API documentation, prototyping interfaces, and beyond.

Alex is an author of Radium, an organizer of CascadiaJS, and sometimes gets emotional about pattern libraries.

My year in open source at Formidable - Ken Wheeler

In this talk Ken will detail his year in open source at Formidable. During the past year he has created libraries like Spectacle, react-music & react-game-kit, and worked on libraries such as Victory and Spectacle Editor. He will be showing demos of the fun stuff they are building at Formidable and speaking to what we can expect from them in the future.
