Our favorite spokesman for Formula 1 and motor racing in general has finally written a book. David Hobbs’ memoir is what we have long been waiting for and it does not disappoint. His racing career spanned 31 years and included sports cars, touring cars, NASCAR, Indy cars, IMSA, Formula 5000, Can-Am and Formula 1.

His 40-year career as a television commentator has thrilled motor racing enthusiasts with his wit and extensive knowledge of the sport during broadcasts on Speed Channel, NBC, NBC Sports Network and ESPN. His commentary on Formula 1, the SCCA Valvoline runoffs, the 24 Hours of Daytona and the Daytona 500 on CBS, where he worked as both color commentator and a feature/pit reporter from 1979 until 1996, exhibited his unique and enthralling style.
