Details

Hello F1 Fans,

After a rather mundane race in Monaco, Formula One heads to Montreal for the Canadian Grand Prix; first of three races in North America held at the Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve.

Championship Standing: With his third win of the season in Monaco, Sebastian Vettel now leads Lewis Hamilton by 25 points. Vettel leads the driver's championship with 129 points, followed by Hamilton with 104 points, and Valtteri Bottas in third with 75 points. On the constructor front, Ferrari now leads with 196 points, followed by Mercedes and Red Bull with 179 and 97 points respectively.

The Track: Set on Ile Notre-Dame, a man made island on the St. Lawrence River, the 4.361 km long Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve with 13 turns is a demanding high-speed track lined by punishing barriers that requires the teams to focus on three main areas of performance: braking, traction and top speed. The long, thin course is a stop-start race track, with a succession of straights broken up by chicanes and a hairpin. The high speeds and heavy braking zones make it a paradise for overtaking, while the unforgiving walls which hem in the race track on all sides mean a high probability of a safety car appearance.

Tire allocation: Pirelli will bring the Purple Ultrasoft, Red Supersoft and Yellow Soft tires; the same tire selection as Monaco. The Gilles-Villeneuve circuit is a lot more demanding on tires than Monaco as well as being harsher on brakes and engines.

Talking points: Can Sebastian Vettel continue to pull away from Lewis Hamilton with another victory? Or will Hamilton bounce back with a much needed win? Can either Finnish driver, Kimi or Valtteri outperform their favored teammates? Or will Red Bull capture their first victory of the year?

Race will start at 2:00 PM EDT with the pre-race starting at 1:00 PM EDT. It's going to be another exciting race.

We hope to see you all!
