Forró Beginners course

Hey! I'm Camila Alves and I'm a Portuguese Forró teacher with 13 years of experience, based in Lisbon.

If you are looking for a fun, social way to move your body and connect with others you should definitely come try a Forró class!

Forró is a Brazilian partner dance, originally from the Northeast of Brazil, that has taken over the world and is danced by people of all ages, nationalities, shapes and backgrounds.

In the Forró scene you have dance classes, festivals, workshops and regular dance parties with DJs and live music. So, as you can see, there are multiple opportunities to practise and to meet like-minded people while become part of a welcoming Forró community!

In this Beginners course of 12 classes you will learn:

• Forró basic steps to prepare you for parties
• Foundational techniques that will help your dancing
• How to connect and communicate with your dance partner
• Tips for dancing confidently

Important to know:

• No experience is needed! We'll start from the very basics!

• You don't need to bring a partner! We'll be changing partners all the time so you can have the opportunity to dance with everyone.

• Classes will be taught in English & Portuguese.

Investment:

• Full course (all 12 classes): 105€
• Pack of 4 classes: 40€
• Drop-in class: 12€
