Generative AI, and specifically LLMs, has proliferated rapidly. The rapid growth has drawn many voices spouting a deafening wave of information, some people underselling and some people spouting complete hyperbole. Is this like Y2K or something to pay attention to?

With this session, we'll explore practical and actionable insights regarding GenAI as a whole with local experts and enthusiasts, including strategic prompting for high-value output, familiarizing audience members with common failure modes (poor prompting technique), and to demystify key aspects of the technology for the Fort Collins community. Did we mention pizza is provided?

We are a sub-group of the Rocky Mountain AI Interest Group focused on the Fort Collins area. Our emphasis is on creating an inclusive space and bringing diverse perspectives regarding AI as it affects key facets of the Fort Collins Community, as well as society in general.
