Red Feather Lakes Hike

It should be a beautiful day at Red Feather Lakes on Saturday -- significantly cooler than in Ft. Collins! We'll do a hike from one of the Red Feather Lakes (West Lake) to another (Dowdy Lake) and have a visit and snack along the shores. If you haven't been to this area, it is worth visiting! We'll walk at a relaxed pace (not too slow but definitely not fast) and we'll stop along the way to enjoy nature. This is an easy hike of about 3 to 4 miles with one area that is a bit steep and rocky. As with all hikes with this group, everyone walks at their own risk. Please bring water and a snack. We will meet at Overland Foods Grocery parking lot (west end) and those who wish to carpool can arrange to do so at that time. Well-behaved, friendly (with other dogs and with people) dogs are welcome but must be kept on leash on this hike. If you prefer to meet at Red Feather Lakes, please let me know in advance so I can tell you where we will meet. If we can't find parking for all vehicles where I have in mind, we may have to pay a day use fee per vehicle of $7. Also, please bear in mind that Meetup charges organizers an annual fee -- I pay almost $200/year, so contributions by participants at the time of the hikes are always welcome. For those who want to have a little social get together and light meal after the hike, we can consider a stop at the Potbelly in Red Feather Lakes. Looking forward to seeing you next Saturday!
