Veedauwoo Area Hike

Details
If you haven't been to Veedauwoo, you will be amazed! And, actually, even if you have been there, you will be amazed! What a beautiful and interesting place! It's a little over an hour drive from Fort Collins. We'll take the back (dirt) road across from Tie Siding. We'll start out on the Turtle Rock trail and then bushwack a bit on the Valley Massif Trail along the creek and then turn around and come back same way -- about 5 miles all together -- give or take. We may be getting feet wet along the way. The trail is mostly semi-flat but with some ups and downs and quite a lot of rocky areas. Let's call this a medium difficulty hike. If you need smooth, flat trails, this isn't the one for you. Sorry, no dogs on this hike. We may see moose and other wildlife. Please everyone pitch in a few bucks this time to keep the group going. Many may not realize that Meetup charges organizers a fee which amounts to about $200/year. Please bring a lunch/snack and plenty to drink. We'll enjoy a picnic along the way. As with all hikes with this group, everyone hikes at their own risk. This area is higher in elevation than Fort Collins so please be aware of that if you sign up for this hike. There is a limit to the number of attendees so that we can enjoy a nature hike. Meet in the parking lot (West end) of Overland Food Grocery in Laporte and we'll carpool from there. See you all soon!
