"Spiral into horror" with Junji Ito's masterpiece, Uzumaki. A three volume manga series taking the simple pattern of a spiral and turning it into pure terror as it slowly takes over a town. Known for his unsettling art style and disturbing ideas, this is Junji Ito's magnum opus.
Content warnings: Intense body horror, self-mutilation, suicide, death, the undead, mental illness, obsession, trypophobia, paranoia, stalking, cannibalism, psuedo-cannibalism, natural disasters, cosmic horror, pregnancy horror, abusive parents, dead animals. But no pets die.

I am scheduling us a full year to read Stephen King's "The Stand". 48 hours long on audio, more than 1k pages and longer than the Bible, "The Stand" tells the story of a post-apocalypse that has left behind only Good and Evil people. They begin to take sides in two factions, preparing for what the world will be.
