What we’re about
This group meets on Tuesday mornings and is open to anyone interested in learning and/or teaching a language. More days and times may be added in the future, depending on member needs.
Learning works best when it’s fun! Fun is the goal of this shared learning method. Participants will learn languages and cultures in a relaxed and supportive way, in conversation and in games and activities. It’s an opportunity to practice languages at any level, beginner to advanced.
Any language is welcome. If you speak any language other than English, bring your skills and share them. We also provide support for learning English. If you speak only English and want to begin learning another language, this will be a fun way to get started. Anyone who is interested in learning or helping others learn any language is encouraged to join. This is not a language class, but rather an informal opportunity to practice speaking and listening conversationally.
We will meet weekly and quickly evaluate the group members’ learning interests and levels of knowledge. Then the languages and topics will be determined for the day. No participant will ever be left in the dark with language use too far above their head. And, all participants will be challenged and learning something new.
