Hike Gateway to Seaman Reservoir Trail

Details
This is a picturesque 2.4 mile, 246' elevation gain out and back hike along waterways and open areas, . The first 2/3 of the hike are easy, walkable dirt trails. The last part requires a somewhat rocky climb up to the reservoir - in other words, all 246' of elevation gain is at once! But the view of the reservoir is worth the climb! I recommend bringing hiking poles as it makes the descent easier. This is an out and back trail with the option for those who are more ambitious to continue on to the Seaman Reservoir loop. The loop is a narrow trail with a fairly decent drop off so this organizer will be turning around and just completing the Gateway Trail :).
This is a Fort Collins Gateway property and the pass to park in the parking lot and use the trail is $8 per car. No cash, cards only. Some of you may already have an annual pass.
We meet at 8 a.m. in the Gateway to Seaman Reservoir parking lot as far into the parking lot as you can go, near the first bridge. It takes about half an hour from mid-Fort Collins to get there.
If you'd like to ride with me let me know as I have 3-4 seats available in my 4Runner.
