You've learned the cards. Now it's time to learn how to read them together.

You already know the basics of tarot. You recognize the suits, have a growing familiarity with the cards, and perhaps you've even started reading for yourself. But maybe you still find yourself reaching for the guidebook, wondering how experienced readers weave multiple cards into a meaningful story.

This workshop is designed to help bridge that gap.
Rather than focusing on memorizing more card meanings, we'll explore the skills that help transform individual cards into rich, insightful readings. You'll learn how experienced readers move beyond interpreting one card at a time and begin seeing relationships, patterns, themes, and stories unfold across an entire spread.

Whether your goal is to deepen your personal practice or begin reading for friends and family, you'll leave with greater confidence, practical tools, and a deeper appreciation for tarot as a symbolic language.

During this workshop, we will explore:

  • A deep dive into the court cards and practical ways to interpret them
  • Different approaches to reading reversals and why there is no single "correct" method
  • How the position of a card changes its meaning within a spread
  • Reading the relationships between cards instead of interpreting them one at a time
  • Weaving individual cards into a cohesive story
  • Reading for yourself versus reading for others
  • Ethical considerations for reading with integrity while honoring free will and personal autonomy
  • What to do when you feel stumped, uncertain, or "stuck" during a reading

Through discussion, demonstrations, and hands-on practice, you'll discover that confidence doesn't come from memorizing more meanings. It comes from learning to notice patterns, trust your observations, and remain curious about the conversation unfolding between the cards.

By the end of the workshop, you'll feel more comfortable interpreting complete spreads, adapting your reading style to different situations, and, if you choose, beginning to read thoughtfully for others.

Who should attend?
This workshop is intended for readers who already have a basic familiarity with tarot and understand the structure of the deck.
If you're completely new to tarot, I encourage you to attend the Beginner Workshop first, where we'll build the foundation that this workshop expands upon.

Arrive Early & Connect
You're warmly invited to join us from 3:30-4:00 PM before the workshop begins for tea, light snacks, and conversation with fellow tarot enthusiasts.
It's a wonderful opportunity to meet other readers, compare decks, exchange ideas, and build connections within our local tarot community.

Supporting the Fort Collins Tarot Meetup
The Fort Collins Tarot Meetup exists to create a welcoming community where people can explore tarot, symbolism, and personal growth together.
