Details

What we do:

In underwater hockey, two teams of six face off on the bottom of the pool, trying to shoot the puck in their opponent's goal.

Players sprint forward, pushing the puck along the bottom; curl around to protect the puck from opponents; and slide or flick the puck to teammates to keep possession.

Well-coordinated team play is critical in underwater hockey, since no individual player can hold their breath forever. The result is a unique sport that's elegant, exciting, and truly 3-dimensional.

We now only have 45 minutes of pool time, starting at 7:45 PM. Please arrive early and be all ready to start right at 7:45.

• What to bring

Swimsuit, towel, and a mask and snorkel. We have the rest of the gear for new players to use.

• Important to know

Fees:

Adult - $10/practice

You are encouraged bring your own mask and snorkel. Other necessary gear will be available to borrow.

Please RSVP on Meetup ahead of time for the practices you plan to attend. We have limited coaching available right now, so in rare cases of too many first-time player RSVPs, we will message you to arrange for you to RSVP to a different practice.
