Death in Venice by Thomas Mann (lgbt bookclub/fiction/novella)

Details
Let's read and discuss the short novel "Death in Venice" by Thomas Mann.
" Death in Venice is a novella by German author Thomas Mann, published in 1912. It presents an ennobled writer who visits Venice and is liberated, uplifted, and then increasingly obsessed by the sight of a boy in a family of Polish tourists "
The book is in the public domain and you can get it for free as an audio book on YouTube or as text from project Gutenberg.
I picked this book because it is considered one of the first examples of overtly gay fiction in western literature, and should be a short and engaging read.
Vino's is very cozy and quiet, even though it's on Las Olas. They have a large drink list, as well as bistro type food like gourmet pizza and charcuterie boards. The room is small and private. Happy hour is until 7.00 pm. There's cheap and plentiful parking right behind the building. If we're full but you'd still like to come or bring a guest, message me, we might have a few extra spots.
