Fun Fly at 23rd Annual Kitetober Fest at Haulover Park

Details
Attention Pilots,
23rd annual Kitetober Fest at Haulover Park in Miami.
This Meetup is going to be a little different than we usually do it. This an informal, unstructured Meetup---really just to get the word out about this annual family-friendly kite festival. We will be there walking around, checking out all of the kites, and doing a little flying also. Come hang out for the afternoon, bring a picnic and a kite, and enjoy watching hundreds of kites.
If you haven't been to this kite festival before, it is a lot of fun. There should be a lot of people and a few big show kites close to 100ft long. We'll attempt to fly our 90ft God Bless America kite. This time we have strong enough line :) The park is large open space with a lot of room to fly single-line kites. Its possible that it could be a little cramped for dual-line & quad-line kites because of the crowd. There is ample parking also which is supposed to be $6 per car. Other than that, admission is free to the event. There will also be music, vendors selling food and drink, kites, and a kite making area for kids.

We look forward to seeing you there!
