The Alliance for the Arts (AFTA) is proud to provide unique and plentiful opportunities to create, experience and collaborate on art in all forms of expression. At AFTA we believe that the arts serve as a strong foundation for individuals and the community, and our mission reflects that. We know that the arts can be the inspiration for learning, collaborating, creating and understanding. Art is where we can all be unique while being the same: It is cathartic and uniting, and at AFTA, all are welcome to find and pursue their creative path.

Guided step-by-step by an experienced instructor, you’ll explore basic acrylic techniques, brushwork, and color mixing while capturing the playful essence of May Day traditions. This three week class is designed for beginner to advanced students. You will see and draw by understanding and personally translating the subject instead of just copying. Francesco’s one-on-one assistance and feedback ensure beginners students understanding and keep advanced and returning students engaged and challenged.
Francesco will start each class with a 1/2 hour drawing demonstration, the student will then apply the notions learned in drawing a live model for 2.5 hours. One-on-one assistance and feedback will be provided upon request from the student.

* Cross-contour lines and landmarks to help give the figure volume and perspective
* Connecting volumes, volumes overlaps and foreshortening
