Take your time, twist some tape, and create your own charming creepy crawly in this gentle-paced class where masking tape turns into a spiraled shelled snail. Students of all artistic levels are welcome, whether you’re a beginner looking to explore your creativity or an experienced artist wanting to experiment with a new medium.

Jeff’s teaching style is relaxed, conversational, and encourages everyone’s individual creativity. You will learn the techniques of how to layer and manipulate the tape to achieve the desired shape and texture using masking tape, paper and wire, along with glass marbles and glass stones. At the end of the class, you’ll take home your unique snail sculpture, reflecting the charm of contemporary folk art. You’ll also receive an instructional handout to help you seal and paint your artwork using easy-to-find materials. The class kicks off with a short tour of the ocasiocasa art studio, along with other artists’ studios within DAAS CO-OP Gallery and The Union Artist Studios at the Arts & Eats Café.
