This group is centered around serious software development, small business team-forming, and networking to find the right people to learn from and work with.
- Do you have software development skills or skills to support a small software company (accounting, advertising, legal)?
- Do you have a strong desire to make money with software, but think it's too big of a task to do as a "normal person": alone, without the right knowledge, and without a big budget?
- Do you feel stagnant as a software developer?
- Are you looking for team members in a software project?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, this group is for you.
Format: I am making this group to create an open space for people to connect as resources for one another. Meeting physically can help determine compatibility, so there will be times to physically meet, but there will be a "board" online of our skills and interests, which can be used for emails as well as a Discord server.
This is not a group for the loosely-interested. This group is for people who feel they need to up their game, who want to pull their own weight, who want to do work, and who have a fire burning.
About me: I have one and a half decades in the software world.
Psychology is also an interest. Our personalities can cover each others' backs. Someone can provide a vision, another could provide focus, and another could act as a critic. Working in a team creates motivation, accountability, momentum, and synergy. Some people work best in teams, and I'm one of them.
I am a proponent of fair, skin-in-the-game, partnership-heavy business structures with revenue-sharing / profit-sharing. I want to make enough money to support myself, working on my own company. Whether it's business software or a game, if there's money in it, let's scratch each others' backs.
