# A human centered approach using the SCARF Model

As BAs and PMs, we know the importance of having a change management plan. Within a plan, identifying the needs of individuals (not stakeholders) is what makes the plan successful. Carly will share how to watch for impacts to a person’s sense of self during change to encourage stakeholders to run towards the change rather than from it. SCARF: Status, Certainty, Autonomy, Relatedness and Fairness.

Speaker Bio:
Carly Riehle, MSOD, PMP, is a 20-year veteran of project management spanning the highly regulated industries of for-profit education, residential construction, shipping, and banking. She has been PMP certified continuously since 2014 having worked on projects in CA, UT, OH and now Texas. Through her master’s degree in Organizational Development from Pepperdine University, she has also worked on projects in France, Costa Rica and Japan.
Carly is married with three sons ages 26, 14 and 4. In addition to working as the manager of a Strategic Program Management Office in a DFW community bank, she enjoys volunteering as a lecturer for industry professional organizations and serving in her church community.
