Join us on Wednesday, June 30th at 6:30PM for a free virtual Fort Worth Science Café event. Dr. Tory Bennett, wildlife ecologist, will discuss bat species common in the DFW area, the ecological services they provide, and ways to protect our flying furry friends. We'll even have some time to debunk many of the myths about bats!

More about Dr. Bennett
Dr. Victoria (Tory) Bennett is a Associate Professor in the Department of Environmental Sciences at TCU. Specializing in wildlife ecology and conservation, she has 25+ years of experience working with bats. She has worked with and advised government, state-equivalent, and private sector agencies to manage and support bat populations in the UK, Africa, Vietnam, Central America, and the US. Here in Texas, she focuses on the conservation of local bat species, involving schools, organizations, and DFW neighborhoods in her research to 1) raise awareness, 2) explore the impact of human activities on bats, and 3) improve habitats, such as urban areas, for bats.
