FORVM Photo Walk #2: Campo de Ourique

Details

We’re not here to give you a tour.
We’re not here to teach photography.

We’re here to wander through stories—real and half-true—and see what they leave behind in light and shadow.

This walk takes us through Campo de Ourique, the neighborhood that escaped the 1755 earthquake almost untouched.
They say that’s why Lisbon nearly moved here.
They say it still holds something stable.
We’ll look for it—with our feet and with our cameras.

You’ll be walking in small teams, each with a short itinerary and a few fragments of Lisbon’s past: a lost palace, a neighborhood that held its ground, a phrase that means we almost didn’t make it.

And your task isn’t to document buildings.
It’s to photograph the feeling of surviving something invisible.
Even if it’s not your story.
Especially if it’s not.

### 📍 Structure:

🟡 This is not a guided tour. You’ll receive a map and a set of story prompts.
🟡 You’ll walk in teams of 3–4, discovering as you go.
🟡 The walk lasts about 1 hour and ends somewhere local for a drink and sharing.
🟡 All cameras welcome: phones, film, digital, whatever sees.
🟡 No photoshoots. No content farming. Just presence, and maybe a good frame.

***

This is a trial version, so expect a little chaos and a lot of curiosity.
If it goes well, we’ll do more—and maybe someday even exhibit what we find.

Free event, limited RSVP slots.

Let’s get lost with purpose.
Let’s take pictures like they’re whispers.
