Nachthafen (Night Harbor)

Wir erkunden die Hafengegend mit Blick auf alles Maritime.

Ein Anreiz soll heute sein, nicht nur oben von der Kaimauer auf den Hafen herab zu blicken, sondern immer wenn möglich zu Anlegern und Stegen herunter zu gehen und ihn auch von Wasserhöhe aus zu sehen. Die Möglichkeiten besprechen wir vor Ort.

Boote sind nett, aber falls keine da sind, genügt auch alles was Hafen oder Seeverkehr suggeriert: leere Anleger und Poller, aus dem Wasser hochragende Dalben, Möwen etc. Falls das Wasser unruhig ist könnte man auch auf die Wellen selbst blicken.

Treffpunkt:
(nahe U Baumwall) Am Anfang der Elbpromenade, wo es runter zum Anleger Baumwall geht, steht ein roter Mülleimer. Siehe das Foto in der Galerie.

We explore the harbor area with a view towards everything maritime.

One incentive today is to not only look down on the harbor from the top of the quay, but to descend to the jetties and piers whenever possible and see it from water level as well. We will discuss the options on site.

Boats are nice, but if there aren't any, anything that suggests a harbor or maritime traffic will suffice: empty jetties and bollards, dolphins rising out of the water, seagulls, etc. If the water is restless you could also look at the waves themselves.

Meeting point:
(near U Baumwall station) At the beginning of the Elbe promenade, where it goes down to the Baumwall pier, there is a red trash can. See the photo in the gallery.
