We are committed to showcasing the best practices and the success stories of local startups that are scaling globally.

In this series of events, we facilitate connections for founders with business peers, advisors, investors, technology partners, innovators in local companies, and public stakeholders.

We are designing each event having in mind the already existing best practices in the local community, the frameworks of validation & scaling used to build lean startups & MVPs that accelerate international expansion. We are always considering the Paul Graham startup definition: “A startup is a temporary organization in search of a highly scalable and repeatable business model”. There is not enough to be big in your home market.

In this edition, we show up with Sebastian Gabor, Co-Founder and CEO of Digitail and Cristian Grăunte, Founder Heroic.Team & People of Tech.

Sebastian Gabor is a dynamic entrepreneur, educator, TED speaker, endurance athlete, and a firm believer in technology for the greater good. After completing business school at 21, he started a software development agency, ITGambit, that served industry giants such as Disney and Hasbro. Along the way, he lectured at Geneva Business School and co-founded Code4Romania, a non-profit organization creating technical solutions to social challenges that now unites 2700+ developers. Sebastian's journey took an unexpected turn when he delved into the world of veterinary medicine while working on a project for a pet vaccine manufacturer. Immersed in the busy routines of dozens of veterinary hospitals, he was astonished by the multitude of administrative tasks that plagued their workflows, diverting precious time away from what veterinary professionals cherish most – caring for their patients. This revelation, coupled with observations of pet parent challenges, sparked the idea of building a software product that would enhance the veterinary care process.

Together with his partner Ruxandra Pui, he developed Digitail – an all-in-one operating system for animal hospitals designed to improve efficiencies and provide a modern experience to veterinary teams, clients, and their pets. Launched in 2018, Digitail now serves 1,000+ practices and 1 million pets worldwide. In 2023, Digitail closed an $11 million Series A funding round led by Atomico.

Cristian Grăunte is Founder of Heroic.Team & People of Tech, with over 15 years experience in creating digital solution. He specializes in Entertainment & Talent Recruitment Systems and Service Industries in the United States.

Passionate about working with teams, he founded a new venture Heroic.Team where teams are equiped with global recognised toolkits to achive better communication, values alignment, collaboration and commitment for their goals.

Alongside with Mircea Taune and Adrian Mironescu, he founded People of Tech, a community for people with a passion for technology and improvement on hard & soft skills.
