Founders Local Pitch Presentation Skills Workshop (Free)
Details
Whether you are tossing around an idea to see if it has some sticking power or you’re preparing to actively start fundraising, this is the event for you!
In addition to our standard Founders Local Pitch Nights, I'm adding this free presentation skills workshop to focus just on delivery skills and how you tell your story.
This will be a small workshop where you will be getting up and making a small presentation and getting immediate feedback to enhance it. I'll cover how you hold a mic, where to stand, how to work the room, how to move, how to use your body, and how you deliver your story.
How should you prepare? Come prepared with a 3-minute pitch on your business adventure. Bring slides or any visuals you would use in an official pitch.
Since this first workshop is free, it will be first-come-first-served. I plan to cover 5-8 pitches in the two hours. The workshop is open for those who want to learn but are not ready to pitch yet.
Times:
Doors open at 5:45pm for networking.
First pitch will start at 6:15pm.
We'll have 30 minutes at the end for more networking.
NOTE: We'll be holding the event at Raleigh Founded (North Street) in downtown Raleigh.
Parking:
Free parking is available in their lot.
Street (meter) parking is paid until 6pm and free afterwards.
