What we’re about
This class is for people who want to learn the healthy practice of Tai Chi on a regular basis. This bi-weekly class is based on the Wudang system of martial arts which dates back to the 12th century in the mountains of China.
The goal is always improved health both mental and physical. The slow, controlled movements of taijiquan when practiced daily can help calm the mind, soften and relax the body resulting in a more centered and grounded approach to life in general.
While Tai Chi can be practiced as a martial (fighting) art, that is not the focus of this class. This is not a self defense or push-hands class. Also, those who are unable to attend regularly would not benefit much. Daily practice on your own is encouraged.
Cost: voluntary monthly dues of $5. Those who can't pay don't.
