What we’re about
ATTENTION: This group will likely be closing soon, due to Meetup's exorbitant fees. If you'd like to keep up to date with future events, message me (Yaz), or email fourcornersvegans(at)protonmail.com to be added to the mailing list. Bookmark http://fourcornersvegans.com/, the URL of our future website!
If you're vegan or veg-curious and live in the Four Corners region this group is for you! The goal of this group is to bring people with similar values together in casual community meetup events (for now, Cortez and the surrounding area).
My goal is to build a holistic community, that is centered on vegan food and ethics, but also enjoys a wide variety of activities and events for all ages, including potlucks, meetups/casual hangouts, activism such as sanctuary volunteering, hiking, games, and more.
Though all food shared at events must be vegan, you do NOT have to be vegan to join, and I invite you into this little community no matter where you are on your own food journey.
Lets create a community that is welcoming, inclusive, and never stops fighting for the animals!

Potluck at the Mancos Library
Mancos Public Library, 211 West First Street, Mancos, CO, USJoin us for a cozy autumn potluck at the Mancos library!
This event is free, and open to all. Our events are inclusive, fun, and low-pressure. No cooking skills? No worries, just stop by and have lunch with us!
We'll meet up at the large community room at the Mancos library. The meeting room is located directly through the entrance and to the left.
Meet starting at about 12:30pm, and we'll start eating around 1pm. These events typically last around a couple hours. There are often a dozen or so people who show up.
What to bring:
- A vegan dish with serving utensil. If you prefer not to cook, store-bought drinks or simple snacks like fruit, chips, hummus trays, etc are always appreciated!
- Your own utensils (plate, fork, knife, etc). Towels/napkins are also a good bet!
- A friend or two or three (or just bring yourself!).
ALL are welcome, whether you're vegan or not. Please make sure any food you bring is 100% vegan (no eggs, dairy, meat, honey, gelatin, or animal-based broth). If you're bringing store-bought food, please double check ingredient labels to make sure there are no animal products (check out https://is-it-vegan.com/ and https://doublecheckvegan.com/).
Blank cards will be provided at the event so that you can write down ingredients and any allergens that might be present in the food, or you can bring your own ingredient card. This is optional, but really helps for our members who have food restrictions and allergies.
This event is co-hosted with Durango Vegans. You can check them out here: https://www.meetup.com/durango-vegans-friends
