Flash forward 40+ years at the summer 2012 customer appreciation open house, and to Shelley when she worked with him to tailor her own saddle, Mike extended personal invitations to FCMC to tour the factory.
We're taking him up on his offer on Feb. 2. We'll meet technicians in leather and metal fabrication, see custom fairings and luggage built and painted, hear about other unique accessory options, and visit his research lab where a variety of projects are under way.
We'll eat lunch onsite in the Wizards Cafe, too. They're going to staff up for us that day, so pack your appetites!
Slab ride to Hollister = frisky pace (newbies be aware). Twisties ride home = great for all.
