June Meetup - Regex Fun

Regular Expressions is one of those tools that most developers only bump into once-every-six-months and lean on Google and Stack Overflow to find an okay solution. But they're not that hard. And they can be kinda fun in a way. I'll start with some of the basics to get everyone familiar with the format before diving into the good stuff, like negative lookaheads and backreferences, and end with some helpful resources to take away.

The topic was covered well and most of us newbies got a taste of how to tackle harder regex conditions.

Loved the regex preso - something I don't use often because I always found it intimidating but after tonight I might choose to put regex back in my toolbox.

Perhaps a regex joke to sort familiarity with regex at the beginning would be nice? It was concise and thorough. Good stuff.

Dani and I are bringing Pizza again. Suggestions on your favorite toppings? Veggie didn't seem to go over quite as well last time... :)

Hi Everyone! TEKSystems will continue to conduct the raffle for the PHP user group for the June meeting! This will be your last chance to get your name put in the drawing for the $25 AMAZON Gift Card. We will be drawing a name at the end of the second meeting so make sure you attend to get your name into the drawing again! ~ Any suggestions for dinner would be great (Pizza, Subs, etc).
