Configuration Management for Windows Environments

We are kicking off the 1st session of 2020 on the topic of Configuration Management for Windows environments. In this session Puppet will be talking to us about what they are seeing the needs are in the industry and the solutions they have brought to market to meet those needs.

We will also be talking about planning out the next event in late February\early March about using DevOps processes and techniques with legacy systems and environments.

We will be meeting at Lion's Tail Brewing at 6:00 PM in their back room.

Synopsis of the event.

Matt Stone (https://www.linkedin.com/in/matthewrstone), Senior Sales Engineer for Puppet, Windows SME, and general Microsoft Guru, will be talking about using Puppet's suite of solutions to manage Microsoft Windows environments in enterprise organizations. As part of his session, he'll cover the Puppet Module he created (https://forge.puppet.com/souldo/gpno) to convert GPOs to Puppet manifests, including why and how he built the module.
