The Tricks of Game Programming in a Pure Functional Language

In this talk, Jordy Moos will discuss how to apply the tricks of game programming to make a fun game in the pure functional language Elm. He recreated the game Boulder Dash to deepen his understanding of Elm and functional programming. This experiment got “a bit out of hand” and the game turned more into a game engine. Not only can you play Boulder Dash, but the Game of Life too and solve the challenge of day 15 of the Advent of Code 2018 as well. Because why not?
