FP-Syd meeting!

For our first meeting in 2023, Jost Berthold will tell us about some highlights of the SPLASH conference. We will also present the preliminary speaker roster for 2023, and are expecting many volunteers to fill it!

Impressions from SPLASH/OOPSLA 2022 in Auckland (Jost Berthold)
In this talk I will give an overview of some interesting talks I attended in December 2022 at the SPLASH conference in Auckland. SPLASH (a.k.a. OOPSLA) is a long-running conference in the field of programming and programming languages, but I attended it for the first time last year.
SPLASH 2022 talk videos are unfortunately not available anywhere, so I hope my summary provides some value for people who could not attend. I will focus mainly on the keynote presentations of the main conference and satellite events (which are usually not available as papers), to capture the breadth and directions of the event as a whole.
