Abstract:
Guilherme will provide you with a deep dive into the data, questions, and tools that analysts and scientists work with. Two components will be highlighted - the first being a conceptual introduction to the ideas behind turning data into actionable knowledge, and the second, a practical introduction to the tools that are used.
What You’ll Take Away:
- Learn the fundamental terminology and processes in data science
- Discover the technology landscape that has helped fuel the data explosion
- Gain insights from an industry expert on how to unlock the hidden value in vast amounts of data
Why It Matters:
Organizations today collect massive amounts of data, and as such, businesses across all industries are quickly adopting analytics strategies. However, many organizations struggle to use their data to add value to the business and have difficulty scaling a data team and managing data projects accordingly. Cross-collaboration is needed, and for this to happen, data and business professionals need to have a common understanding of the main concepts and tools used to turn data into actionable business insights.
