Guinness Presents: Schuman Music Festival
The first and inaugural edition of the Schuman Festival will take place November 6th – 9th in the Schuman Area also known to many as the " Irish Village" area in Brussels, Belgium.
The four day festival, will bring together great music, the Schuman community and benefit BIG against breast cancer, an international non-profit organisation for academic breast cancer research groups from around the world.
The Old Oak, Kitty O’Shea’s, The Hairy Canary, The Funky Monkey, Coolock Café and the James Joyce Irish Pub will all be participating and hosting the four day festival. The best way to participate is to purchase a wristband from any of the participating pubs, proceeds of which will go directly to Big against Breast Cancer, as well as grant you a discount on all sponsored drinks in the pubs or sponsoring some of the fund raising activities through the website.

.Friday night 7 November , a folk-rock session with Mystery tramp will begin at 20:00 in the Funky Monkey, with a whiskey tasting taking place downstairs. The party continues across the street, in The James Joyce Irish Pub, where Daniel Johnson will begin his set at 22:00 and a few brave men will get their chests waxed in support of Big against Breast Cancer.
On Saturday 8 November evening, the main event will take place in The Old Oak, where the Pogues tribute band, A 1000 Sails will begin the show at 20:00. One of Ireland’s best singer/songwriters, John Spillane, will follow. There will be also many fundraising events the whole day through.
Sunday will bring the festival to a close in the Coolock Café. Jack O’Shea’s Irish butcher will host an autumn bbq from 16 and where we will be treated to the tunes of Daithi Rua
