JAMstack — Docs en Stock

Bonjour à tous!

Pour cette troisième édition du JAMstack Paris, nous avons choisi un thème un peu particulier : comment la JAMstack peut nous aider à écrire et à publier de la documentation ?

Deux talks au programme, tous deux en anglais :

1️⃣Sarah Dayan & Devin Beeuwkes, respectivement Frontend et Backend développeurs de la team Docs chez Algolia, nous présenteront les défis qu'ont posé le scaling de la documentation, les limitations de Middleman (un Static Site Generator en Ruby), et des raisons derrière la construction de leur propre SSG, Frontman.

2️⃣Josh Dzielak, co-counder chez DeveloperMode, nous parlera de MDX, le mariage heureux de Markdown et JSX, et de comment cela permet d'améliorer grandement l'expérience des auteurs et des developpeurs sur la documentation (mais pas que !)

Hi everyone!

For the third edition of the JAMstack Paris meetup, we chose a rather special theme: how can the JAMstack help us build, write and publish better documentation?

Two talks will dive into the topic, both of them in English:

1️⃣Sarah Dayan & Devin Beeuwkes, respectively Frontend & Backend developers in Algolia’s Docs team, will present the challenges of managing Algolia’s extensive and ever-growing documentation, the limits of Middleman, the Static Side Generator (in Ruby) they used to have, and the reasoning towards them imagining and building their own SSG, Frontman.

2️⃣Josh Dzielak, co-counder of DeveloperMode will talk about MDX, the happy marriage between Markdown & JSX, and how it can help enhance both the authoring and developing experience when writing docs (and many more things!)
