The LOFT's LGBT Mental Health Peer Support Group

The LOFT: LGBT Community Center will be offering a new peer support group for the local LGBTQ community to focus on mental health. The LOFT's LGBT Mental Health Peer Support Group will take place on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month from 7:30pm-9pm.

The group is for members of the LGBTQ community, ages 18 and over, who are living with a mental health condition either diagnosed or undiagnosed. The LGBTQ community represents great diversity across all demographic categories and there is diversity of human brains and minds. Even among all this diversity, there are ways we can relate to and support one another in an LGBTQ safe space and decrease feelings of isolation and stigma.

LOFT Peer Support Groups are open topic drop-in groups. There is no need to preregister and no fee to attend. Donations are welcome. They are lead by facilitators who identify as peers with those in attendance.
