Natural Language Processing for hate speech detection
Hate Speech is one of the biggest problems when it comes to online forums and the internet in general. It can stoke the flames of offline violence, and could well have been a contributing factor to things like the January 6th Insurrection in the States. Natural Language Processing is a possible, powerful tool for combating this, but how does it work? In this talk I go over the common algorithms used, how content moderation works, and what some of the pitfalls you may experience when performing it.
β° 19:00 - 19:05 - Welcome speech and introduction from WWCode
β° 19:05 - 20:00 - Presentation "Natural Language Processing for hate speech detection"
