In collaboration with the IRC, Information Resource Center, we are glad to invite you to a talk by Sophie Houser, a very active teenager in the US.

Sophie’s a very accomplished 19-year-old. She worked at a startup in NYC two summers ago, worked at Facebook headquarters in Silicon Valley last summer and will be working at Facebook in NYC this coming summer. She is a sophomore computer science major at Brown University in Providence, where she tutored low-income kids in an after-school program last year and is running an after-school Engineering Club at a middle school this semester.

In summer 2014, she created a video game with her friend Andrea that went viral, was written up all over the world, won a Webby Award (the “Academy Awards” of the internet) and a Tribeca Disruptive Innovator’s Award.
