TEACH ENGLISH TO OUR REFUGEE COMMUNITY (NEW STCP EVENT!)

Join us every other Wednesday to teach and exchange conversation in English. Volunteers teach our refugee community, how to speak and write English.

We start with a short 15-20 minute group discussion on a specific topic or subject (sports, family, Paris, traveling, vacation, food, etc.) in English.

Then we break into groups of 2 to 4 and continue discussing the topic or subject in a conversation format in English.

The session lasts 1 hour, and the first cafe from the famous La Caféothèque is free (compliments of Serve The City Paris), for our volunteer English instructors and our beneficiaries.

REQUIREMENTS: As a volunteer, you need to have a conversational level of English to help our group of refugees, but you don't need be a trained language instructor. We prepare the participants by having a short group discussion in the beginning of the course. Then we break into groups to have English conversations, or teach English writing skills, based on the beneficiaries level of English.
