1. Philipp Fath (Blockchain Enthusiast): the past, present and future of Blockchain Technology

The big hype about Bitcoins gradually declines and the underlying principle or technology, the Blockchain, comes to the fore. But what exactly is a Blockchain, what is their potential and which factors are crucial? Taking the past and the current development into account and comparing it to other technologies, the presentation outlines different scenarios, how the development of the Blockchain might look like and which opportunities and risks there might be.

2. Georg Esser and Marc Schuba (White & Case): A lawyer's perspective on Blockchain

The technology aspect of Blockchain is often well understood. This talk helps to make sure, that the legal aspects will be better understood, too: It will cover regulatory aspects for using blockchain, aspects of data security and data protection as well as legal requirements to make sure a smart contract is actually a legal contract and enforcable.

PLEASE NOTE: Du to the strong focus of this talk on the German Law System, most of the talk will be in the German language.
