Talk 1 - Beyond ChatGPT: Lessons Learned Using AI to Build on AWS - Level 300 (30min)

• Description: After exploring AI tools for development, we’ve discovered what actually works. But more importantly, we’ve learned what doesn’t. This talk shares practical lessons from our journey: why planning beats prompting, which validation patterns prevent disasters, and where AI’s real boundaries lie. We’ll discuss successes and setbacks that shaped our approach. While examples draw from AWS projects, these insights apply universally. You’ll leave with insights that helped us integrate AI tools in a way that actually works.

Talk 2 - Amazon Aurora DSQL: Fastest serverless distributed SQL database for always available applications - Level 200 (40min)

Its serverless design removes the operational burden of patching, upgrades, and maintenance downtime. This technical session will explain how DSQL revolution the architecture of relational database allowing the above benefits.

Talk 3 - AWS European Sovereign Cloud: Enabling Digital Sovereignty in the EU - Level 200 (35min)

• Description: In this session, we will explore the concept of Digital Sovereignty and how it is being realized with the upcoming AWS European Sovereign Cloud (ESC) — a cloud infrastructure sovereign by design. With an investment of $7.8 billion, AWS positions the ESC as a foundation for organizations that prioritize data sovereignty, regulatory compliance, and digital trust in today’s changing geopolitical environment.The ESC is built for the specific needs of the public sector and highly regulated industries within the EU. It ensures that all customer data — including metadata — remains entirely in the EU, fully compliant with European laws. To achieve this, the ESC will operate independently from the global AWS infrastructure, with its own IAM, billing, and support systems.All operations, technical support, and customer services will be delivered exclusively by EU-based personnel. The first region is planned to launch in Brandenburg, Germany, by the end of 2025.We will also examine the legal and operational design of the ESC, and what makes it different from other sovereign cloud solutions. This session will give you the key insights to understand, evaluate, and prepare for its launch.

• About the Speaker: Tobias brings more than 24 years of experience in the IT industry and over 13 years of hands-on AWS expertise. He works as Senior Presales Consultant AWS at Ingram Micro, the leading AWS distributor, and is an AWS Community Builder. He regularly shares his knowledge in webinars, workshops, and publications. Before joining Ingram Micro, Tobias held senior roles at Rackspace Technology and Nokia, where he gained broad experience in cloud architecture, consulting, and solution design.
