### 🕯️ Ghostlights #1 — What We Carry: Stories, Symbols, and Stillness

This is the first gathering of The Ghostlights Collective — a new Manchester-based group for creatives, deep thinkers, and emotionally curious souls.

We’re artists, writers, wanderers, and thoughtful misfits. We crave meaningful connection and spaces that feel safe to share, explore, and create — without performance or pressure.

Theme: “What We Carry”
You’re invited to bring something personal:
✍ A short piece of writing
📸 A photo with a story
🗝 An object that holds meaning
🌿 Or simply a feeling you want to name
We’ll meet in a softly lit space — part circle, part sanctuary — to reflect on what we carry (physically, emotionally, creatively). You can share, or simply sit and listen.
There is no pressure to perform. This is not a networking event.
You don’t need to be an artist — just human, and open.

💫 Come if:
• You’re tired of surface-level connections
• You’ve ever been told you’re “too deep” or “too quiet”
• You’re a creative soul with nowhere to place it
• You long for something tender, thoughtful, and real
• You want to meet people who see the world differently

***

📍 Location: Chapter One Books, Manchester (confirmed)

We’ll meet in their cosy, quiet café space.
(We’ll also discuss future venues together — bring ideas!)

🪑 If the event shows as full, you are still welcome to come. We’re keeping the space flexible and the spirit open.

📍 Tentative future venues: The Nest (Chorlton) / The Monastery (Gorton) / Feel Good Club (Northern Quarter)

This is for the rare and the restless.
Let’s make a home for people like us.

> Bring your heart. We’ll bring the candles.

### 🌫 What are Ghostlights?

Ghostlights are mysterious lights seen at night in forests, moors, and forgotten paths — flickering just out of reach, then vanishing when approached. Known in folklore as will-o’-the-wisps, they’ve been called spirits, illusions, or strange natural phenomena.
But to us, they mean something more.
Some people are like that too:
Quietly glowing. Easy to miss. Beautiful in the dark.
This space is for them — for us.

> Ghostlights are real. You just have to look closely.
